Athersmith - He was certainly a Harper. The only mystery then, is why, and how, did William Harper become Charlie Athersmith.
"In running matches he met with several notable successes, and at distances varying from 100 yards to a quarter of a mile he was without a doubt the fastest man of his day... " - The Derby Daily Telegraph, 19 September 1910.
Athersmith went on to play on a Tagg & Campbell tour of Germany and Austria in September and October 1905, for which he received a suspension as the Football Association has refused to approve the proposed tour.

Calomino - These were the first years of the century. Soccer was born to popularity. It was played near the Retiro, on the fields of Catedral Norte (Buenos Aires). Calomino began his career on the wing there. The legal name of this notable footballer is Pedro Bleo Fournol, but when he began to stand out in sports he himself replaced his surname with Calomino, because it seemed more expressive to him and as a demonstration of affection towards his protectors. In addition to football, he practiced cycling and swimming. He had a very personal move with which he unfailingly outwitted the opposing defense: it was the famous “bicycle kick.” In the middle of the race, he would pretend to stop and pass his foot over the ball, to resume the run while the rival remained stopped and out of play.

Konrad - "Csámi" was the most talented of the Konrád brothers (Jeno was also included in the national team).
Due to his physical abilities, he was neither fast enough nor agile enough, but he still became one of the greatest Hungarian footballers. He caused complete confusion in the ranks of his opponents with his unexpected, surprising moves. His ability to fight was also an example for the athletes of that time and today.
He played in Hungary, in Austria , then in the USA. He returned home in 1927 and again became a member of MTK, Hungária FC and the national team. According to many, his game has not worn off during the time that has passed, and in fact, it was then that he gave his best performance.
